I’m a technology entrepreneur and engineer from California, with a long-standing focus on artificial intelligence, knowledge-sharing, and internet products. My interests span AI, programming, philosophy, science, education, and building systems that help people learn and make better decisions.

I’m the co-founder and CEO of Quora, a platform focused on sharing knowledge and connecting people with insights from others around the world. More recently, I also founded Poe, an AI platform designed to make advanced language models more accessible and useful.

I’ve also invested in a range of technology startups and emerging consumer brands, with a particular interest in products that combine strong design, utility, and long-term cultural relevance.

Before Quora, I was an early engineer at Facebook, where I served as CTO from 2006 to 2008 and helped scale the company during its early growth.

I serve on the board of OpenAI and continue to work on products focused on expanding access to knowledge and advancing AI technology.
